Course Description:

Biological or holistic dentistry is a way of practice that not only is evidence based but is actually the original oral-systematic way of practicing dentistry. Finding a balance between how we’ve been practicing and the science behind practicing dentistry in a safer manner can improve patient outcomes. Holistic dentistry is meant to protect not just the patient but also the practitioner and can lead to a thriving and healthy practice. Because of the rise in the want for holistic dentistry, especially in the millennial generation, it is important to understand the benefits and potential of the addition of its practices in today’s dental office.

Course Objectives:

  • Learn and understand the fundamentals of Holistic dentistry.
  • Examine the necessity of understanding the relevancy of alternative therapies in today’s environment.

Author Bio:

Fran is the Qualitative Director of the largest holistic practice in the state of NJ in charge of quality control and training. She also is on the Board of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine and on the hygiene and marketing committee. She also works with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and is on their hygiene committee, a member mentor and a presenter at their symposiums. Fran has 35 years of experience in the field of dentistry.
