This is great advice.I have walked into too many situations in offices where they are hiring quickly to just put a body in the position. The employers really should have been looking within the the office unit to see why their employees keep on leaving due to the weakest link in the office. Putting up with behavior that brings the office production and attendance down is a huge stab at the livelihood of the practice. Please please hire slow and fire much more rapidly. It does teach the whole staff that it is okay to bully, behave negatively and not have to do your part as an employee when the employers allow it.
